Six am wasn’t
too bad being as I still got 7 hours of sleep or so. Breakfast was the same
good food, and that was followed by a 3 and a half hour bus ride to Lear, a car
seat and car electronics manufacturer. The site visit was unlike
any of the others, because they really really took care of us. There was juice
and water in the conference room, along with a notepad and pen for us. They had
3 presentations and a site tour, so the group covering them got a bit of
everything, so their project is going to be easy to prepare. They also fed us
lunch with an excellent soup with a ton of vegetables. One of the tours took us
in a soundproof room, which was nearly completely quiet, and there was a sound
system where he played us songs. The sound quality was incredible, but that
wasn’t even the best part. Next we went into a Mercedes and it was one of the
nicest cars I’ve ever been in. The sounds system in that car was also amazing. After
Lear we went to Nuremberg and toured the city. The city was more compact than
Augsburg, and I liked it. The overlook on the castle was amazing. If only it
was sunny in the middle of the day and not cloudy with the sun setting. Dinner had a fixed menu of 3 kinds of sausage and it was amazing, and the sauerkraut
reminded me of the kind my mom makes at home. Thursday night, to say the least,
was a very late night. Since we didn’t have to get up until 9:30 the next day,
being out late wasn’t a problem. And I would say it was a very fun night.
